    Hello, i was asking about St.Longinus but he was not from africa. i am asking about the Roman Soldier on Calvary- who pierced the side of Our Dear Lord-and was converted. I am
    confused about the name of the Roman Soldier??????? Thank you for anything you can
    inform me about this. May God Bless All of You--Praise Our Lord Jesus Christ.........

    I am very happy to know that I have a patron saint (Longinus). Happy also to know that he was African and a matyr.
