i was looking for a name to bare, since i needed a name for my confirmation, i thought st.vissia what a good and perfect name for me .
I too was named after St. Vissia, I was born on April 12, 1961. I just know that she is an Italian virgin and martyr, I am pleased to learn of a few more details about her and to hear of other Vissia's in the world =)
Vissia is a beautiful name. My name is Vesna and I was also born on April 12. Since I cannot locate a saint named Vesna, I wonder if St. Vissia would be a patron saint for me to pray to, for her intercession before God on my behalf. My middle name is Valeria and I believe there is a female martyer saint with a very similar spelling to my middle name. Perhaps that is another good saint for me to adopt as my patron saint. Any suggestions or feedback is greatly appreciated! God bless you all!
i named my daughter after st. vissia . she was born last April 12, 2008.
