Strategist Karl Rove says that Obama is winning

Rove cites economic recovery as working in the current president's favor

While Mitt Romney has won the Republican nomination for the U.S. 2012 presidential election, according to GOP strategist Karl Rove, Romney has his work cut out for him. According to Rove, if the election were held today, Obama could destroy Romney by as many as 100 votes.

Mitt Romney has at least one home court advantage in all of those states, as all of them have Republican Governors. Unfortunately for Romney, Obama also has a home court advantages in those states, as all of them have organized labor as a strong presence.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Rove has debuted his first Electoral Map of 2012. The map clearly shows that Obama is in the lead. According to the map, if Romney, even in the event he wins all of the as-yet undecided 82 electoral votes, he would still have to flip a state that leans toward Obama in order to win. The most likely states are seen as Pennsylvania, Ohio or Michigan.

Romney has at least one home court advantage in all of those states, as all of them have Republican Governors. Unfortunately for Romney, Obama also has a home court advantages in those states, as all of them have organized labor as a strong presence.

Romney's advantage is also hindered by a serious problem. All of the Republican Governors in those states, which include John Kasich, Rick Snyder and Tom Corbett have low approval ratings. Romney won't necessarily be able to rely on endorsements to make his case where the Governors are concerned.

Romney does have a second home court advantage in Ohio and Pennsylvania, in spite of their unpopular Republican Governors - each have popular Republican Senators. And it just so happens that one of those Senators has been often floated as on the short list for Romney's Vice Presidential pick - Ohio Senator Rob Portman.

Business Insider's Joe Wiesenthal has an interesting comment on the west's economic recovery, which shows that the U.S. is far ahead of its European brethren. "You frequently hear people debate the Obama recovery against the Reagan recovery, but it's pretty dicey," Wiesenthal writes.

"The times were totally different (and the recessions were very different) so you're left with just a lot of speculation and counterfactuals and so forth.

"The first thing to note is that the U.S. has recovered WAY better than either the Eurozone or the U.K. So if you think Obama has been a disaster, you might first acknowledge that the US has performed better than all its major Western peers."

Wiesenthal also notes the sudden halt of economic growth in the U.K. "The UK was recovering on a fine trajectory right up until early 2010, at which point UK growth hit a brick wall.

"What happened in 2010? That's when conservative David Cameron came to power with an agenda of reigning in the debt. Sound familiar?

"Basically we have a life test of a country that wants to do what conservatives in the US want to do: reduce national debt . Doing so is a growth disaster," Wiesenthal says.

Just an idea for comment ..... why not have the Congress come out of their shells to voice to all of us what they (Congress) will support and what they will not support. Also the House of Representatives. Since it is not the fault of any President that his ideas do not come to pass. I believe the Whitehouse/ United States of America is actually being run by the Congress and the House of Representatives ... so, let them speak. Truly

What a sad world we live in. May Christ come for the second time. The sorrow and suffering in this world has become too much to live for. What else do we have to live for? To help lead others to Christ? Others who don't care. The Mass? Yes, the Mass. What else is there to live for?

All red states should be their own country. For a presidential candidate who supports true freedom through the principle of secession, vote Ron Paul 2012. www.dixienet.org

the thing with Rove is that he knows WHO'S REALLY running the country. The National Security Administration. So this map is not for us, who want to vote Obama OUT, but it is for those who want to be sure Obama gets voted IN. The Pope put Cardinal Chaput in Philly to work against Obama's winning PA due to massive vote fraud in Philly. Will it help? I have a hard time thinking it will, but it might...every vote counts in this election...especially in swing states.

Sadly, Mr. Rove is correct. Our division will make it so. Obama has done an excellent job in dividing this nation more than it has ever been. If we do not reach down to the very core of our Christianity, and vote with the Holy Spirit's guidance, Obama will get 4 more years and we will not be a Republic any longer. If you and I courageously study our Faith, live our Faith, pray, fast, repent, vote our Faith and give loving witness to Jesus and to the Father, then we have done everthing that is expected of us. We must NOT condemn, but be faithful witnesses to the TRUTH. Jesus and the Father and the Holy Spirit will take it from there. If we fail to be the witnesses we are called to be, then perhaps we will have to settle for persecution by the government and even bloodshed. THE TIMES ARE URGENT, AND THE ETERNAL SALVATION OF MILLIONS OF AMERICANS IS AT STAKE. The darkness is all around us. Each of us is called to be ONE light of Christ.. God bless.

So, is the solution to elect Obama? Me thinks not! We have to go with Romney--and hope that, assuming Karl Rove is correct, Romney will take note and let common sense and the experience of Europe guide him as President....(Congress, too, has a lot to "say" in this matter of the Economy....) Also, if Obama gets in, he will, "change," indeed "fundamentally transform" the USA as he has said he wants to do many times--And from all he has both said and done thus far (need I list them here?), there's no evidence that this "tranformation" would be along the lines of our Constitution and our Founding Principles!
