Gingrich gets real, will endorse Romney

Gingrich will continue attending events in North Carolina.

After falling from voters' favor thanks to a withering campaign by Romney, Gingrich has finally decided to call it quits. The former speaker of the House has confirmed that he will officially suspend his campaign on Tuesday.

Gingrich is quitting the race, but will continue attending events.

WASHINGTON DC (Catholic Online) - It is also predicted that Gingrich will endorse Romney. Gingrich's departure will make the Republican race essentially a two-man show with Ron Paul pledging to remain in the race until the Florida convention.

Despite Paul's persistence, Romney will be the Republican nominee.

Gingrich made his decision after losing to Romney across the board in five primaries that took place on Tuesday.

Despite losing to Romney, Gingrich is signaling that he will support Romney and that he hopes his supporters will join him. During a campaign stop in North Carolina, Gingrich admitted "I do think it's pretty clear that Gov. Romney is ultimately going to be the nominee. And we're going to do everything we can make sure that he is in fact effective, and that we as a team are effective both in winning this Fall and then, frankly, in governing."

Gingrich has subsequently added, "You have to at some point be honest about what's happening in the real world as opposed to what you would like to have happen. I think obviously that I would be a better candidate. But the objective fact is the voters didn't think that."

Although he is suspending his campaign, Gingrich still plans to attend 23 events he has scheduled in North Carolina. "We're going to stay very, very active. I am committed to defeating Obama."

Gingrich will continue to receive Secret Service protection. He is also hoping to accumulate funds to bail out his campaign, which is said to be running in the red.

I will vote for Romney. Or else next time I will need to fight to have my voice heard.
As per mr Gingrich who stole Conservative President - why haven't you, man, gave up when mr Santorum was asking you to do so?! Mr Santorum was the only one sane and transparent candidate. His yes was yes, and his no was no. Why, mr Gingrich? Why?!

Richard Wickes: Romney's foreign policy isn't anywhere near Obama's. Obama's policy is stand with the enemy. He now has members of the Muslim Brotherhood in his administration. In Home Land Security, among some departments, no less, and has wiped any reference to Islamic Jihadist from everything. Jerusalem has been purifed from any reference to being the Capital of Israel and some of his closest advisors are members of the Muslim Brotherhood. We are witnessing "A Grand Jihad" on the US and people are just going along doing "their thing" and don't know a darn thing about what is going on in the country. Wise up and get your nose into some reputable news resources before it's too late. The man in the WH is NO Christian and he needs to be voted out or impeached. God bless.

RonPaulKickAss; Haven't you heard. Obama has declared that the war on terror is over. However, he did commit our troups to Afghanistan for another 10 yrs. If Obama is telling the truth about the "war on terror", why doesn't he bring all of our troops home? Why doesn't he get rid of the TSA? You, Mr Ron Paul supporter need to do a lot of homework. There is a terrific CD/Book endorsed by the Catholic Church by William J. Federer, an Islam historian, called "What Every American Needs to Know about the Qur'an." It's a history of Islam and the United States. After you've read or listened to it, get back to all of us about how all the reports about Iran and Iraq are "propaganda." Then maybe you will know what you're talking about. God bless.

Romney is a clone of Obama. He supports the NDAA exactly as it's written, he supported TARP and all the bailouts and was a recipient of one, he's got the exact same foreign policy and supported the war in Libya - the one Obama is facing impeachment for, he supports the Patriot Act.

    And Gingrich just endorsed him.

So much for any sort of principles Gingrich was pretending to have for this election run...

You get to vote for clone A or clone B - they have different hair styles and tell different lies. You have a *real choice* Amerikans.

Mitt Romney supports the Project for the New American Century and the Foreign Policy Initiative, the think-tank which promotes: diplomatic, economic, and military engagement IN THE WORLD! Iraq was all lies, so is Iran. The media has a war to sell you, are you buying it? Mitt Romney even named his foreign policy plan a new American Century...HOW ORIGINAL! I am voting for Ron Paul! End the wars!
